2 – 4pm on Fridays
There is an opportunity to ‘meet the neighbours’ every Friday in the Village Hall between 2 and 4pm.
We have a regular group of about 9 members, and these are joined by others who just drop in for a chat etc.
An excellent ‘afternoon tea’ is served around 3pm – home-made cake/scones etc., and a cup of tea/coffee.
There is a raffle at every session – the profits are used to fund occasional pub lunches, or fish and chips at the Hall, or visits to pantomimes, theatres etc. – depending on demand.
The Club contributes to village life in various ways – making table decorations for the Harvest Supper, filling (4-5) shoe boxes for the Samaritan Appeal at Christmas, and donating to the Bicester Food Bank from time to time.
In addition to the usual dominoes, jigsaws, cards etc., there is also the opportunity for other activities such as arts and crafts.
It is all very relaxed and informal. The idea is to chat and share ideas, rather than just watching videos (although we do this from time to time).
There is no charge; and the raffle tickets are £1.00 each (just to cover expenses – and buying them is optional).
Look forward to seeing you there.
